Here it is folks, another amazing summer to enjoy warm weather, outdoor workouts and lots of iced water. This summer I was offered an amazing opportunity to serve a more intricate role within the world of day camp at Hampton Country Day Camp in East Hampton, NY. For those of you who have never been here, this part of the world is like no other. It is rich in agriculture, economics and supportive of individuals, such as myself, who come to America to work as young adults. In the past, camp life has offered me many great experiences. I am looking forward to this 2013 summer at HCDC.
This summer sees me suited for a new role within the day camp organization. I am part of the leadership team who collectively turn the gears of the camp that serves children from ages three through twelve. Each leader brings unique skills and abilities which allows a variety of successful operations and experiences to be available to the attending campers.
You are probably wondering exactly what I am doing at the Hampton Country Day Camp. I am thrilled to be the Sports & Spirit Day Coordinator who oversees the planning and implementation of various activities for both the counsellors and campers.
I am truly thankful to be spending this summer immersed in leadership with kids and with the leadership team. Feel free to tweet me anytime to chat about how much camp has and/or is implicating your life in a positive manner! (@wellnessrf)
