Warmer weather; a runner's dream.

So, here you are, reading this blog and enjoying the mild January weather. Usually, this time of year the east coast is plagued with cold weather, snow storms, etc. However, lately nature has put together a slew of mild weather. We see bare trees, bare parks, sidewalks, etc. Why does all of this matter? Well, if you kept your new years resolution this year it only gets easier from here. You have successfully made it through the 3 worst weeks of the year and now mild weather is still being forecasted. This makes for optimal running conditions (with proper outdoor gear) and leaves you with one less excuse NOT to exercise. I encourage you to take advantage of the mild weather and get out and active. Whether its walking your dog, walking to the local coffee shop, etc, just do it while the weather is good. For those of you who have unfortunately not followed through on your new year goals of pursing exercise, it is NEVER too late to hop back on the ship to the fountain of youth and incorporate outdoor exercises into your routine.
As a runner for 10 years and counting, I love taking advantage of this warm winter weather by moving my workouts outside whenever possible and by walking a bit more than I usually would. I encourage you all to do the same!
